The allure of the Amalfi Coast lies not only in its awe-inspiring landscapes but also in its rich history and vibrant culture. As a family, we were eager to visit this iconic destination and wander through the narrow streets of towns like Positano and discover their hidden gems.
The region’s reputation for its cuisine, including fresh seafood and lemon-infused specialties, also got us so excited. We couldn’t wait to indulge in the local flavors and soak up the laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle
Exploring the Charming Streets of Positano
Our first stop along the Amalfi Coast was the charming town of Positano, with its narrow, winding streets and colorful houses cascading down the cliffs.

Our family took the time to wander around, immersing ourselves in the local ambiance. It was during our walk around town that we stumbled upon a hidden gem, a local shop called Safari Club Positano.

Safari Club Positano is a family-owned business and specializes in creating custom-made sandals. Edith was thrilled to have a pair of beautiful sandals crafted just for her. The friendly staff guided us through the process, from measuring her foot to selecting the perfect design. The entire experience was efficient and delightful, taking less than 30 minutes to create a beautiful, one-of-a-kind souvenir.

Private Boat Trip along the Amalfi Coast
After walking around the town of Positano, we walked to the harbor to meet with the guides for our boat tour. We booked a private boat trip with Capitano Ago Boat Excursions that would take us along the Amalfi Coast, heading towards the captivating Isle of Capri.

We sailed on the blue waters and relaxed on the boat deck, as we soaked in the sun and refreshing sea breeze. We really enjoyed the journey, and saw rugged cliffs and picturesque towns perched on the cliffs during the ride.

Sailing to the Isle of Capri
Our boat excursion led us to the Isle of Capri, a jewel in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Famous for its natural cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and beautiful landscapes, Capri has long been a magnet for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the thrilling swim to the Blue Grotto , a legendary sea cave renowned for its iridescent blue waters. Don and Nathan couldn’t resist the opportunity to experience this natural wonder firsthand. The family cheered them on as they dove into the water and swam towards the blue cavern.
